Grenada Launches Automated Citizenship Certificate System for Faster, More Efficient Processing | Grenada Citizenship
The Investment Migration Agency (IMA) Grenada announced in an official statement on March 30, 2025, the launch of a new automated Citizenship Certificate system aimed at modernizing and streamlining the certificate issuance process. This digital upgrade is part of IMA’s broader initiative to enhance efficiency, reduce manual errors, and accelerate the overall processing time for applicants under Grenada’s Citizenship by Investment Program.
Please note that the system was gazetted on March 7, 2025, and will be launched officially once the Ministry has finalized the implementation date.
Highlights of the New System
Automation at the Core: The new citizenship certificates will be automatically generated by the Agency’s Application Processing software, effectively, significantly reducing manual intervention and delays.
Shorter Turnaround Time: By going straight to the Ministry of Home Affairs, the system ensures quicker approvals and fewer errors.
Agent-Friendly Interface: Local agents are given a 48-hour window to examine and verify certificate drafts before final submission to add authenticity and transparency.

Data Accuracy & Photo Guidelines:
Photograph requirements include size (35x45mm), light-colored background, neutral facial expression, visible ears and face, and file types in JPEG, JPG, or PNG. This action by the IMA is a big step towards digitalization, making things more efficient and improving the applicant experience as a whole.
