Please note that the donation option is a non-refundable investment. However, if you wish to receive returns on your investment, you can choose the real estate investment option. With this option, you can rent out the property on a yearly or monthly basis and generate income. Antigua and Barbuda offers beautiful views and attracts many tourists, making it a desirable location for short-term and long-term rentals.

The holding period for both the donation option and real estate investment option under the Antigua and Barbuda Citizenship by Investment program is as follows:

Donation Option: The contribution to the National Development Fund (NDF) is non-refundable, and there’s no holding period for the donation. However, the citizenship is granted after the application is processed and approved.
Real Estate Investment Option: The investment must be held for a minimum of 5 years. After 5 years, you have the option to sell the property. If you decide to sell before the 5-year mark, you would no longer be eligible for citizenship, and the investment would not meet the requirements.
UWI Fund Option: This investment is used to support the development of the University of the West Indies. Unlike real estate investments, there is no requirement for a holding period. The contribution is non refundable, but it helps secure citizenship, and the funds go toward education development in the region.
