What are the requirements for permanent residence in Cyprus?

To qualify for residency, applicants must choose one of the following options:

  • Buy up to two new unmovable residential properties with a minimum total market value of €300,000 plus VAT, with the option to purchase from different developers.
  • Purchase of up to two new or used unmovable properties (offices, shops, hotels or other developments) with a minimum total market value of €300,000 plus VAT
  • Invest €300,000 in the capital of an actual company registered and operating in Cyprus, which employs at least five people.
  • Invest €300,000 in the collective investment units of the Cyprus Investment Funds Association (AIF, AIFLNP, RAIF).
  • Provide supporting evidence of a guaranteed annual income of at least €50,000 derived from abroad (an additional €15,000 is required for each dependent spouse and €10,000 for each minor child).
      • In addition, applicants must meet the following requirements:
        • Provide clear criminal record certificates from the country of origin and country of residence every three years (also applicable to all adult dependents).
        • Provide an official statement confirming non-employment (not applicable to applicants who are directors of a company in which they invested).
